I have just purchaced my disco 200Tdi! it has failed its MOT on the cills well whats left of them!!! i have been told that the best thing to do is to put box section in its place as will strenghten the body up!!! does any one know who would be able to do this task for me? matt |

It will depend how much of the sill is rotton. Has the bottom of the post been eaten away yet ? You can weld box section in but i think the best way is to buy either the rock/tree sliders with or with out side step (your choice). This will give you all the strength you will need and either but the rest of the repair pannels you require or make them up with steel plate. I've just replaced most of the B Post and sill rail on my 110csw with the welder and grinder. It cost me £6 for the metal and did the welding myself so i saved a fortune (full days work and im a welder to trade). Look around where you stay there will be a small bodyshop/fabricators that will carry out the work for the fraction of any Landrover mechanic. The local independant here cost £65 an hour. I charged myself 6 pints at my local lol. Give it a bash and let's know how you get on
