CEO's, disinformation and general silliness
Apparently, according to some folks, I am a CEO..LOL. My West Island Pagan Association has been, incorrectly identified as a corporation and my wee web site has been called a "commercial" web site. Gee, with all this implied financial doings, you'd think I'd have a limo or at least a key to the executive washroom (if we had one). Nope, I'm not a CEO - nope, WIPA is not a corporation; further nopes are as follows: nope - not a commercial web site. nope - do not serve, in any capacity, with the Pagan Federation of Canada. I'm a private member. Ripe for Greenfield's Goy whoreherds? Nope to that one as well. Having a meltdown? Nah, just get pissed, every now and then, when people throw "muck" at others from behind their keyboards. People with no idea of what is going on in a particular community - is way behind the times and posts inaccurate information on the web. But as an astute member of a local e-list commented; its nice when this kind of thing backfires. And the latest salvo by someone who isn't worthy of having their name posted - has backfired, wonderfully in our favour. Various members of the Montreal Pagan community have been accused of plagiarism, racism, ageism, of being misogynst, hatemongers, puritans and of having a filthy mind (the last three are a few of my characteristics according to the "someone who is not worthy of mention." This "someone who is not worthy of mention" claims a former HPS status but is retired now....LOL. But then, anyone can claim the same thing but it ain't necessarily so. For example, I have a beautiful Red Maple tree in my backyard; I could claim that IT is a HPS.... But claiming a tree has the HPS status? Why, I might be considered a total whacko if I did this....I could claim to be a professional artist - why, not a bad idea! I could draw a few things and have a friend buy them...I could be a professional artist!! Ah, so many options open...I could claim to be anything I truly want to be and I thought that actual training or skill or talent was required..silly, silly me. This is Canada - I can claim to be whomever I choose. Its done all the time. Unfortunately, my morals and ethics get in the way; claiming to be something I'm not is rather dishonest and lacks ethics. That's against my interpretation of what constitutes my Craft. |
