"An Incovenient Truth"
For all you science fans...you may wish to see the movie, "An Incovenient Truth." As many of you, and Don Thompson is in this group, that Al Gore has been stumping for global warming concern for some time. Many have dismissed the warnings as bogus science or there is no proof. I think before you respond with television news information, just go see the movie and then speak to my suggestion. Al Gore may be a lot of things that Republicans want to deride but he may be very much "on the money" with his concerns about how we are wasting this planet..at least the atmosphere. |

Bruce, I understand YOU can go anytime you want… almost no one has gone to see it! But let’s not get too exercised about AL Gore’s grasp of the laws of physics and nature, when old Al starts mixing his version of the facts with a LIBERAL dose of his own propaganda… yes there IS global warming! YES… there IS! But who in their right mind would believe that humans have caused all this … and… Just since the ‘70’s - remember that old bug- a -boo – global cooling? – the next ice age was upon us! Well that one didn’t stay afloat too long did it – so now it’s more doom and gloom from the frantic left. You know it must really be depressing to be a lib… so much negativity and all! I suppose my friend Bruce will try to come up with an explanation of the second red spot on Jupiter, and how we on Earth caused that also… along with the fact that Pluto’s temperature is rising, even as it is now moving away from the Sun!! The warming ‘thing’ is way beyond our ability to change or control… of course the libs think they know ALL the answers as usual… just ask them. |

Hey conservative one!! Just go see the movie!!! I think you will react to what is presented. Al Gore may have not carried the message correctly but the facts presented in the movie sort of speak for themself. If you don't see the connection..then I don't know what to say except that I think you are of a continuous suspicious mind. The CO2 build up in recent years is markedly different than in the past and the only real variable in the equation is human activity. Again..go see the movie!!! No! Humans did not cause the second spot on any planet. This is not a liberal argument!!! This is not a conservative argument!!! It is an argument or statement of observations that are made by decent scientific types. Yes, there are ranges of values but factoring out the ranges of values or variability, if you will, the trends are pretty clear. Again, go see the movie. |
