Hey Don! How did you like the recent election results???
Not that people are so much pro-Democratic as they are anti-Bush and his policies!! Then, to top it off, he and Rumsfeld, arrogant ass that he is, plan an exit strategy for Rumsfeld. If the election did not change the vote in Congress or had so many Democrats win, I bet you Rumsfeld would still be in Washington. Then..Bush picks a guy who was involved with Iran/Contra crap. Poor Bush..he just can't think outside the box or he just can't think!

Now the shoe is on the other foot. Now it's the Republicans turn to wait for a 'smart' plan and solution. I'm also looking forward to hearing about all the good things happening in Iraq, that are now going to be reported so that the Dems will get the credit... they hope. I don't think the likes of Henry 'Nostrilitus' Waxman and John 'read it real slow' Conyers will be able to contain themselves, and will over-reach and loose the voter's respect. As usual.

Hi Don, In answer to your question..nothing good will happen in Iraq now that the Democrats have both houses of Congress. The reason is simple; well in my mind it is simple. We should have never been there in the first place!!! The best we can do is to start planning an exit strategy. Next item on the agenda is to fix what I think is an ailing national morale problem by getting people back to work!! Income generating populations tend to be busier and coincidentally happier people! This is actually going to be a harder thing to do than getting out of Iraq. Finally, we have to find somebody to lead this country who can garner respect from most of the countries we deal with. This is another tall order. Who that person is I haven't the foggiest. It could be a Democrat or it could be a Republican but whoever it is can't administer policy with tunnel vision about things.

Moose, Let's not repet the mistakes of the past - It's third party candidates like the Greens www.gp.org that can turn things around - think outside the box - way out side! |
