Plugging Trailer in When Not in Use?
Hi Glenda, I almost always leave my trailer plugged in when sitting in driveway at home. I have a 50' #10 outdoor extension cord that reaches the trailer cord and adapter. Now I'm wondering if this practice is okay? I started doing it to keep batteries fully charged, and found it was nice to have A/C power out there for when ever I was in doing some work or just piddling around. Will this hurt anything? Overheat inverter? I've never tried the Air Cond on the extension cord, would it be ok to run it? |

Hi Randy, It is okay to leave your trailer plugged in. The 7300 series converter is free of spikes and surges, it has a 2 step battery carging feature, automatic control for recharging, has a long term float service without overcharging, which is good for when the RV is not in use. Your #10 cord is okay, it is always best to use the shortest cord possible. |
