It's easier dealing with Carlin now that he's a re-run all jammed up totally for a quick synopsis of his ha-ha. It's as though a thorn has been pulled from the body whose heart was rotten and irreparable. He'd laugh to hear me talk like this and I believe he IS laughing

cuz he knew I was exploring areas of the "human psyche" (?) that weren't funny right off...at which point you have to be a singer-songwriter instead of a stand up comic. George wasn't funny but he THOUGHT funny and he acted funny. The longest serious conversation we had was in November,'85... about twenty minutes in the lobby of whatever hotel that was in Savannah before the concert that night. Writing the TV show back in '66 wasn't serious.

I showed him the album cover for my newest vinyl, The Second Coming. Being Irish Catholic and desperately interested in any new slant on religion I thought he'd be thrilled..

He just stared immobilized and did not comment. The cover was that photo now on my dot biz web site of a shaved vagina with a cross tattooed just above the clitoris.

"George, see, the Feminist symbol is a cross hanging below the "whole of life" so to speak. This cover raises the cross tattooed ABOVE the whole of life. Of course we felt the same secret joys...there is NO WAY the woman was going to suppress even subconsciously the SYMBOL of the man's death and keep it down below her great Feminist "hole". But George could never present such an image comically to audiences. No one can...The image of the Cross raised to Heaven above the woman's "hole"..the Feminist symbol with the Cross dangling below was played out in DOGMA where George played a Cardinal presenting The Buddy Christ, a smiling brown bearded guy, happy...sorta looked like Carlin in those re-runs they're showing on CBS...(to be con't).
