Just reread your message - a glove poem? I would love a glove....... Of course I have to list all my requirements for gloves, mainly that they are of some high quality material and have pearl buttons. Oh, you're wearing the glove?? MMMM, that changes everything.... Anyway, I don't remember reading a glove poem, and I especially would if it was for me.....
We've been under barrage for the 4th, I hate my neighbors this time of year..... The firecrackers usually run the gamut of about a week... Often they sound like bombs and I decide I would not like to live in a war zone.... However, the town has a fireworks presentation from a barge in Humboldt Bay, stunning over the water, will send pics later.
What does NO do that draws famous people to celebrate there other than just being the normal decadent NO?

It's fashionable to have connections with New Orleans..it's the oldest city in the USA that's still really big and really old...St. Augustine is older but so-o-o-o small.Boston has FEW buildings preserved amidst the rough and tumble..same with Philly...New York forget it;;Chauncey's Tavern....that' it...Trinity Church..all made miniscule by hundred story buildings....The French Quarter looks the same as it did in 1850......1795......1718...the mules pull the buggies and that IS the going pace of the town...it's a prestige thang to know as much about the innards of old places....like "Here's where Noble Caesar's blood dripped when Brutus administered the fatal blow...each year on the Ides of March it turns liquid and believers dip their t-shirts in it and go back to new orleans to compare the colour with Jean LaFitte's at the Battle of New Orleans,," Now Dr. Bill Cosby and the Rev Al Sharpton are having their "empowerment" seminar down at the DOME...I can't believe this schitt happens and gets bigger and bigger every year.(except for Katrina)...the town pulses loud with jungle-urban hip hop...the black hee haw...agonizingly tribal uprisings....chance matings in the Marriot...two hundred thousand black people..moving as one slow swarm of tired bees...I can't get waited on at Wal-Mart..and...but... finally Horatio showed up..I complimented him on that last batch of Chinese red.....bought the apricot..Susanna is in Italy..I love her...I mean the IDEA of her..hel*l I love the idea of YOU and VICTORY ...I love the ideas of people better than the people who back them up...I mean the idea of throwing Sarabth out in the street naked and drunk is so kinda funny two days later and sobereer than the actual doing it..because she was acting smart again...whew...and sparks fly each fourth from barges in the Mississippi...fireworks...I was eating a burger at the St.Charles Tavern when the boom boom began.the waitresses all ran out to see and ooh and ah....I waited for my check...and finally...them being peasants I didn;t tell them "Hey you know Paul Revere was jewish...yeah;/;/he said The Yiddish are coming..the Yiddish are coming...!!!"....I am going thru this magnificent..to relieve the boredom...paint period...it just dawnd on me.all museums and all art pieces are SQUARES...box shapes..;with things inside the square canvases mostly...like trees and people and ...so I have painted squares and restangles ONE COLOR..I have a canvas six feet tall and two feet wide pure metallic GOLD .against my chinese red wall..I must be fung schwawing...I have a day glo long chartreuse five foot by six inch thing...I have a day glo fire orange long thing and a lavender square and and ..and...I stare at blank but very colorful square spaces and write as the spurt moves..and it is violent;..finally..busting forth from my polite cocoon the butterfly sees Cos and Sharpton as the butt flies out the co-coon..take no prisoners..I am the 2nd mothuh *****in; coming of goddam christ mothuh *****uh..***** dem ni*ghz...I'm sure it will be an attention getter plus...it's all so funny and not at all....I mean re-action has to be serious..and that;s a loser the way I seize it..plus who'd a thot.the 2nd coming a white guy saying things too fierce to mention..and all against a background of blank and colorful spaces....nailed to a sea of red... |
