D & H Half Marathon
With Harrisburg and Sol Lipton Halfs falling on the same day, can this race be expected to have a good field. Im considering this race since it is only about 15 minutes from my home. Who all is planning on attending this race?? |

Is it USATF certified? You might want to consider PDR. I'm kidding Anyone looking for a fast race on nice soft surface this is it. Great steamtown tuneup! |

I'll be there. It'll really be ashame if it doesn't get a great turn out. No traffic, mostly shaded. Slight uphill out and nice comming back. I ran pushing my boys in a stroller on it and had my fastest 10 mile training run (with them) on it so it's as fast as pavment. It's might be alittle congested the first couple miles( if there is a good turn out) but other than that it really should be a great local half for everyone. Chaz |

Looks like fun--I'm planning on being there. I just noticed that the early entry deadline is 8/15, so it's soon time to get the form in. |

Two more questions: 1. Are the miles going to be marked? 2. Where are folks supposed to park? There is only room for a handful of cars at the trailhead. |

Yes, the miles will be marked (sponsored mile signs). Parking attendants will guide you to lots within the Forest City Industrial Park, above the trailhead. No parking in the trailhead (for race tents, etc). |

Do the directors or anyone involved know what kind of numbers to expect?? Considering the Harrisburg Half and the Sol Lipton are also this day |

We have no idea how many racers will attend, as it is our first race. Please spread the word.... we are putting a lot of work into organizing this race. |

Lynn: As usual, I'm confused. One entry form I saw lists a cometitive walk/racewalk category while another form doesn't. Which is accurate? |

Since we were asked by many to include competitive walkers (and our emergency crew is okay with the potential longer time commitment), we added walkers to our entry form & brochure on our Rail-Trail website. Other sites may still have the old brochure/entry. |

Lynn: I'm mailing my entry today. Thanks for adding the competive walk category rather keeping it as just a run. |

Maybe Borrelli will run this race. But doubtful due to the more competitive half marathons like Harrisburg, Philly etc |
