Something to think about for the next 17 days...
Check out this article on ESPN.com... http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/summer08/columns/story?columnist=caple_jim&id=3520296 I don't agree with everything he says in here. Yet there is valid points. What do you all think? |

Well I wasn't alive or aware of my surroundings during the 1950s-1980s "battles" that he spoke of in the article that made the olympics exciting . . . but for as long as I can remember, my family has always watched at least some of the olympics, and just from talking to friends, coworkers, etc., most of them are watching (and watched last time as well) at least part of the olympics also. I think the athletes like Michael Phelps and Tyson Gay would be the main new attraction. But the author has some valid points |
