sueing a "therapist"

Does anyone know if there are lawyers who specialize in laysuits against therapists who malpractice? I could report with my state, and perhaps affect the therapists' liscensure, but I'm interested in getting some money for my trouble. Guidance?

Re: sueing a "therapist"

I would think that lawyers specializing in personal injury could handle something like this, since it involves an injury to the psyche, on the part of a health professional, if I read you correctly. The only problem is, you might have to rely on other therapists or psychiatrists, if it came to trial, to prove that damage had indeed been done. Juries tend to side with the plaintiff in such cases, however. Let us know how you make out.
