Many of you will know I haven’t raced for a while now, a foot injury and a baby has meant I’ve not been to the club as much as I’d have liked.
This morning I packed up and went to the beautiful Clumber Park national trust grounds. It was a sprint duathlon (5km run, 20k bike, 2.5krun) qualifier for the European championships for 2019. I set my targets low in light of the above and went out conservatively on the first run, was very pleased with my bike a pb pace over the distance (the distance was just off) and managed to slump over the line to place 1st in my age category which should secure a place to euros in 2019!
Congratulations Simon - fantastic achievement!
Wow! Well done!
Just awesome Simon! 👏
Nice qualification Simon.
Well done Simon - if you can qualify with no proper training just think what you will be able to do with training, no injuries and just a bit of luck on your side!
