Following an awesome weekend for the club, where so many of you spent hours helping to put on an amazing race or raced your hearts out representing our fantastic club, easy chatty aerobic runs may be just the thing to recharge and refresh you. Thursday is World Mental Health Day so we will be hosting our monthly #runandtalk event and we hope you will take the opportunity to enjoy getting to know someone new:)
Tuesday's training for yellow group is 6 x Wheat Hill reps with 2 mins recovery and on Thursday yellows have a fartlek of 2/3/4/5/4/3/2 mins with 2 mins of easier running between each effort.
Purple group have a ladder on Tuesday of 2 x 4, 3, 2, 1 mins with 60s recovery between each effort. You run 2 4 mins, 2 3 mins etc and aim to get back to where you started. On Thursday purples have a continuous, chatty run working on aerobic engines.
Tuesday's session for green group is 6 x 1000m at 5km pace with 90s easy jog recovery around St Francis/Spring Rd whilst blues have 1 x 3M and 3 x 1M (2mins/90s) from Willian Way traffic lights. Thursday's session for blues and greens is 8-12 x 400m on the St Francis side of Broadway.
On Saturday Karen could either offer a Chicksands session or a track session at Ridlins. Please post below if yo are interested in either. Chicksands would start at 9am from usual car park, track 9.15 at Ridlins, cost £2 payable to FVS for track hire.
