The Short Runs League will be running until we are all back to our normal running routines.
The SORE League will continue to run alongside this new league for those who feel they want to continue with longer distances. So the regular post on the forum will still appear each week for you to add runs of over 10 miles.
You can view the latest Short Runs League from the same place as the SORE League. It appears directly underneath the SORE League.

Short Runs League Rules:
Each week a similar post to the SORE League will appear and all you need to do is add the distance and the date you ran, and if you want to you can add where you did the run.
Points will be awarded for every run of 1 complete mile up to a total of 10 miles as follows:
1 complete mile 1 point
Over 1 mile and up to 3 miles 1.5 points
Over 3 miles and up to 5 miles 2 points
Over 5 miles and up to 8 miles 2.5 points
Over 8 miles and up to 10 miles 3 points
Points will be awarded for runs completed on a treadmill, in the garden, somewhere in the house (if that becomes the only place you can exercise) or hopefully out in the fresh air.

Sorry, forgot to post this yesterday so hope I'm not too late - only two short runs for me this week as I wanted to save my energy for the HOOP on Saturday!
Tues 9th June - 3.8 miles (intervals)
Thurs 11th June - 4.2 miles (tempo run - out and back on the Grange with a few socially distanced yellow group squirrels)
4.5 miles for us this evening.
3mls for me today
6.18 miles for Michelle and 7.2 miles for Andy tonight please.
Hilly Lilly was lovely as we managed to arrive just as the rain stopped!
3.36mls today around Fairfield Park
4 miles for both of us under Dickies supervision last night. That was hard work!
6.2 miles for us both. Andy's fastest ever 10km :grinning:

No SORE league run for me this week, but I did take home made cake along to a (socially distanced) Yellow group reccie for the Bedford 10k this morning - does that count? :laughing: :cake:

Weds 17/6 - 5 miles round Chicksands woods
Thurs 18/6 - 5.25 miles, incorporating my BMAAF 5k attempt plus a warm up and cool down
Sat 20/6 - 3 miles
Sun 21/6 - 6.3 miles round a lovely course in Bedford, reccie for the Beds AAA 10k.

18-Jun 3.22M Hill rep training session on Norton Common
Taper week for me leading up to the BMAF 5k relay where I was pleased to clock 24.37.
Just 4 runs:
Tues 16th 3M - stressed out over too much to harvest at allotment!
Wed 17th lovely 4.05M with Helen
Thurs 18th 3.98M with some 800s and 400s at 5k pace
Sat 20th 5.4M including 5k virtual race
