, Thanks for the input on my antenna problem. The antenna base dose not receive the 3/8" male whip. The base looks like 1/2" and male. Obviously, I need a 1/2" female whip. Don't know much about CBs but I suspect this is something the manufacturer has done to sell more parts. Just might take you up on the visit to Okeechobee. We're looking for a place to winter and plan to check Okeechobee. Thanks

It sounds like you have an NMO mount. I don't recall seeing a CB antenna with an NMO mount although they are fairly common in Amateur Radio.
