Welcome To The RAF Gan Message Board
I would be interested to hear a bit more about this
incident please ? Was it a British Eagle or RAF aircraft involved ?? Hapy for you to email direct if you wish
Regards Geoff Gan 61/62 circuit control section
In a similar vain I joined up in 1969,does anyone remember the Phantom losing its canopy taking off in 72 think they parked it up under cover in the MT yard till a team could be flown out to repair.
I remember a C130 coming in minus an engine in '72. Can't remember if it was RAF or USAF
This was a R.A.F. Brit.
I believe the deicers were left on in the tail section, and the tail caught fire.
