Welcome to      A Tribute to Cheryl Cory

Cheryl Cory

Cheryl Cory was one of the most beloved people of the Mother Road. For more than a decade starting in the 1990s Cheryl and her husband, Earl, traveled Route 66, meeting the people of Route 66 and experiencing the adventure of the Mother Road. Cheryl kept detailed accounts of their journeys down the highway. To her Route 66 was a journey through the heart and soul of America. She loved the road and would promote it at every opportunity and those who met her couldn't help but be caught up in her enthusiasm for Route 66 and become, like Cheryl, swept up in the wonder of the road. In May 2001, Cheryl and her husband Earl were enjoying life traveling Route 66 in their RV when tragedy struck. Cheryl was hit by a car and died just a few days later.

As a tribute to Cheryl and to keep her wonderful memory alive, Earl Cory has put together Cheryl's accounts of their travels on Route 66. As Earl puts it, "The stories were written as we lived them, over a period of twelve years or so. Cheryl loved our adventures and cherished every moment". Please take a moment to sign our guestbook.
