A Patient Prayer of Thankfulness

Dear Heavenly Father

Please forgive my impatience and whining for Your return.
Thank You for tarrying while I prayed for Your immediate return.
Thank You for the souls who have come to You in the last few years while I've been patiently waiting for You.
Thank You for the souls who have come to You in the last few weeks and months while I have been IMPATIENTLY waiting for You.

Thank You for tarrying in 1967 when others certainly prayed for Your immediate return. I wouldn't have existed.
Thank You for tarrying in 1988 when others were expectantly praying for Your immediate return. My wife wouldn't have been raptured.
Thank You for tarrying through the MidEast conflicts during the late 90s and early 2000s. My children would not have been born yet.

Thank You on behalf of those souls who are being added to The Lambs Book of Life daily.

Thank You because Your timing is perfect. All Your ways are just.

Still, humbly I pray Maranatha, Lord. Come quickly.

Thank You in Jesus' name.

Re: A Patient Prayer of Thankfulness

Clean Slate: I join you in this wonderful prayer of
thankfulness. In our anxious waiting for the Lord
to return, our only thoughts at times is just to be
with the Lord. Then we stop and think of those that
have not accepted Christ a sobering thought. Now as
I wait for His Coming I pray for the lost and always
for Israel. The Lord knows all who will accept his
gift of salvation up until the last person before
He closes the door. So we wait patiently but still
in excitement that the time is at hand.
Thank you for posting this prayer, a good reminder
to us all.
God Bless you

As the old tv serial said, "Father knows Best". Indeed, letting Him be Lord is always wise, though not always personally expedient.
