Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

Cars have been equiped with "black boxes" since 1990 and will be come mandatory in 2014! Now why do they want to be able to monitor our every move? Whether we wear a seat belt, or what speed we are driving? Soon, these black boxes will have automatic GPS trackers (if they don't already) and then nobody will be able to escape the Big Brother!!

Article: Black Boxes In Cars Will Be Standard By 2014
These event data recorders are already in 96 percent of vehicles
Posted: Jul 22, 2013

If you thought police tracking your movements via license plate scanners was creepy, you may want to check your owner's manual to see if your own car has been spying on you.

Event data recorders, also known as EDRs or black boxes, began showing up in cars in 1990 when General Motors introduced them for quality control purposes. The New York Times reports 96 percent of cars now carry some sort of black box under the dashboard, and the National Highway Traffic Administration wants the technology standard in all vehicles sold in the U.S by 2014.

Automotive black boxes are different than the kind that are in airplanes, which continuously record audio, mechanical functions and location. In cars, the box only transmits information to the car's computer in the event of a crash or air bag deployment. Recorders capture vehicle speed, brake activity, crash forces and even seatbelt use at the time of the event.

Some consumer advocates say the recording devices are ripe for abuse. Although legally the property of the car owner, 14 states have laws on the books allowing third parties such as law enforcement agencies, lawyers involved in criminal or civil suits and insurance companies access to the information via warrant.

"These cars are equipped with computers that collect massive amounts of data," said Khaliah Barnes of the Electronic Privacy Information Center, a Washington-based consumer group told The New York Times. "Without protections, it can lead to all kinds of abuse."

There are currently no guidelines on how the information can be used and, since the equipment and expertise to access the information in proprietary to each manufacturer, no way to independently verify or challenge readings in court. NHTSA regulations would require automakers to provide a commercially available event data reader in the future, but there are currently no options for consumers to get at their own data.

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

It's all in place isn't it. - I SUUURE hope we are out of here before it even matters!

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

Let's freak'em out and everybody go buy old clunkers to drive around

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

LOL...I thought about the same thing, until I remembered that the government paid a ton of people a ton of money for them to turn in their cars that are OLDER than 20 years old. But we may want to get one as a back up just incase we are hear longer than expected and the government starts to take over ;-)

LOVE IT MorningStar - right next to the bumper sticker that says 'In case of Rapture, this buggy will be empty!'

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

Per my son, if you have GPS on your phones, you can be tracked. He told me everyone turns that feature off because of it's ability to track. Pretty soon we will throw the phones out and leave the cars at home as much as possible.

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

NFJF; I like that one! and right next to it
"Where are you going? and why are you in that HandBasket??
(I read that somewhere)LOL

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

I know thats hilarious but I think those horse buggies have to have a license plate on them so they will be tracking those Amish people too.No one will be
privacy free.

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

I've always wanted a horsie, can't put a license plate on them!

That is absolutely correct! They advertise it as being able to track your kids to know where they are at all times....

Nah, no license plate...but how about one of them chips people put in their dogs and cats to find them when they run away? Face it folks, there is no way one could make it in this world without the mark of the beast, unless they find a nice cave and know how to grow their own food, hunt, and live in the wild (which most of us don't). This is another reason why we need a savior, and why there has to be a rapture. If there were no rapture all of us would be killed and I don't think the God I serve would allow that.

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

Roses--Bummer! your right License Plate on the Buggy is next.
Oh Well, I live in the desert so I'll just opt for a Camel,
but they'll probably charge me extra for that second hump.

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

Indeed every form of electronic bugging will be utilized, until the chip implants. Overuse of cell phones also bombards the brain with RF waves. And now there is talk of gene altering implants, in order to extend life. Given why they want to cull the world's population as part of their take over plan, why do they need to track and isolate every single individual on the planet??? So that every individual can be compelled to take the mark of the beast! Though in the realm of dimensional beings, ie: demons, are aware of each corporeal being (humans), the human minions of Satan who will accomplish his purposes need all this electronic help. As the scripture aptly states, we are either with the Lord, or against Him. Seems like satan doesn't like lukewarm people as well. It's all or nothing!

Love & blessings...Tender Reed

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

Hahahaha... Morningstar and NCIC. I'm gonna get me a bephelant. I could never pronounce elephant when I was real little and still haven't heard the end of it. We have an Amish area not far from here but there are always horse and buggy accidents with cars. Then, they'll be chipping people's animals in order to track them...probably in their tails.
TR, what you said is a very frightening thought, isn't it?

Re: Whoa! Do NOT Trust Technology!

That was GREAT!!
