Praise Jesus! I think He's finally helped me to understand

Ok,you may know I've complained before. Wondering how God is going to use me. I mean I have a sensatory disorder. If someone talks to me about something and they start yelling/talking loud I tend to shut down. And people tend to get loud whenever they find out you disagree with their view point.

Well,I've been reading David Platt's book "Radical". It's by God's Grace David didn't complicate the wording and I can understand it because a lot of books I can't understand [especially novels]. I have a low reading span and my reading comprehension is lower than people my age.

Anyways, I'm on chapter 3. This chapter has helped to show that that's what God does. He uses people who can't do it on their own. These mega churches with thousands of people don't have good fruitage. They draw people in with their loud music and seeker driven gospel. It's the prosperity gospel. The love of money truly is the root of all evil. Just because they have a whole lot of people doesn't matter. They're relying on themselves to draw people in with their watered down gospel. They don't rely on God's Spirit. Truth is there wouldn't be as many people coming if they spoke the truth. And it's evident that they'd loose money so they tickle their itching ears instead.

To truly win people to Christ we don't need loud music,a guy in a pew speaking in his expensive thousand dollar suit or any of that stuff. We just need the Holy Spirit and God's Word. And any of us can preach God's Word as long as we're led by the Holy Spirit.

I praise God that He has finally let me understand. I complained about my problems and wondered how God could use someone like that. He has let me know after reading some of chapter 3 that He uses those who can't do it on their own. That means despite my nervous system and communication disorder problems [and other stuff] I'm qualified. I'm not qualified based on my abilities but I'm qualified inspite of my flaws. And it's all because of the Holy Spirit.

I really hope this encourages anyone else who has similar questions and wondering how God would use them in spite of their problems.

Amen MRIC.

The next time you feel like God can't use you, just remember...

Noah was a drunk.
Abraham was too old.
Isaac was a daydreamer.
Jacob was a liar.
Leah was ugly.
Joseph was abused.
Moses had a stuttering problem.
Gideon was afraid.
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer.
Rahab was a prostitute.
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young.
David had an affair and was a murderer.
Elijah was suicidal.
Isaiah preached naked.
Jonah ran from God.
Naomi was a widow.
Job went bankrupt.
John the Baptist ate bugs.
Peter denied Christ.
The Disciples fell asleep while praying.
Martha worried about everything.
The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once.
Zaccheus was too small.
Paul was too religious.
Timothy had an ulcer.
AND...
Lazarus was dead!

No more excuses now. Besides, we aren't the message; we are just the messenger.

Don't know who wrote this but it fits in very nicely here!
