This morning in prayer I got an overwhelming nudge that we need to be on our knees for Israel. I also got reminded that God is ultimately in charge of Israel and he will be leading them. Directing is actually the word I got strongly. I also felt that we need to pray for our sisters and brother and their families in Israel.
I pray for Israel's leaders (political, religious, military, and other leaders; and I pray that they would draw closer to the Lord in this situation), but I rarely think to pray for the Israeli people as a whole.
I've also been praying about the WMD situation: not only for Israel, but the region ... and the world as a whole.
Israel, has been on my heart and in my prayers for awhile now.
Thank you so much for sharing the Lord's urgency for us to continue to pray on our knees for ISRAEL.
1 “Often have they attacked me from my youth”
—let Israel now say—
2 “often have they attacked me from my youth,
yet they have not prevailed against me.
3 The plowers plowed on my back;
they made their furrows long.”
4 The Lord is righteous;
he has cut the cords of the wicked.
5 May all who hate Zion
be put to shame and turned backward.
6 Let them be like the grass on the housetops
that withers before it grows up,
7 with which reapers do not fill their hands
or binders of sheaves their arms,
8 while those who pass by do not say,
“The blessing of the Lord be upon you!
We bless you in the name of the Lord!”
God has spoken to your heart as well of the urgency for us as the Body of Christ to pray for ISRAEL at this crucial time.
Thank you again for starting this thread on behalf of ISRAEL...
Servant, thank you for the powerful Psalm you posted, it is much appreciated..
