The Lord God will inherit all nations Psalm 82

Psalm 82
Why would God inherit nations when He is the one who formed the earth and created people?
It doesn't make sense unless we have the spiritual eyesalve of Rev 3:18 and recognize the SON of God. Children inherit. The Son of God inherits from His Father.

Psalm 82:1 (A Psalm of Asaph.) God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.

This morning, it seemed to me a new understanding came that this psalm is not talking about creating a new social system organization to take care of the poor and needy, although individuals could choose to do that.
The psalm is talking about injustice in a hall of judgement. False judgement in a courtroom. who are the gods (little g)? IMHO, this could mean the men and women who have set themselves up as a god unto themselves, following their own judgement in courts of law against others, declaring arguments and judgments that are unjust in the eyes of God.
These unjust leaders, unjust judges and unjust lawyers (in the eyes of God, capital G), do not do justice in their role.
They walk on in darkness, refusing the light of God's Word, and have not true understanding in their role.
These are national (in)justice systems that do not the justice of the halls of heaven.

What is God's reply when He has had enough of this?
v6 God the Father says you are gods alright (little g), (false gods)
v7 ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations

Amen Father God! Arise God the Son and judge the earth, for You shall inherit all nations!
Maranatha!

Re: The Lord God will inherit all nations Psalm 82

Excellent observation! Those who play God with the laws they pass, and view themselves as above others, will one day discover there really is a God under whose judgment they fall. Therefore, judge as God would, or you may find yourself overruled in His court.
