There have been sixteen earthquakes within 2010 in only 62 days - roughly two months. On Feb. 27th there were 10 in one day - 9 in Chile and 1 in Argentina. That is a high number of high magnitude earthquakes and very close together.
Of course this doesn't take into account all the ones that were below 6 points in magnitude.
It has occurred to me this morning that there could be more quakes than just the Haiti one at 6. and above in January. The problem is on the USGS site that they only show a week at a time and I don't know how to go back further than that. Even so, when you consider that there have been 16 major quakes in 2 months???? That is a very big sign of increase in frequency and intensity - big birth pangs! Reminds me of that verse from ROMANS - "the whole earth groans awaiting the MANIFESTATION of the sons of God" That manifestation is the change to incorruptible, eternal bodies which happens at the rapture!

It is very clickable with lots of info. One of my favorites is to click on a quake to bring up the details and in the lower left is a Did You Feel It? link that shows on a map who reported what. As the time draws near in heaven it is getting very restless on earth.

Woops, While I was posting I see a new 6.3 in northern Chile, possibly too far away to be an aftershock. It is getting hard to keep up!
Thanks Bob. I visited and it is a good site. Just for curiosity's sake, I went back and counted all the earthquakes registered at 2.5 and above on February 27th. That was the day with the 8.8 Chile quake and an additional 9 quakes at 6.0 and above.
The total that day was 83 earthquakes, most of them in Chile. What a day that was!
