I don't post too often. But I just want to say that I agree with Angelheart and others that it is the Righteousness of Christ ALONE that saves, that the righteousness of man "is as filthy rags"--therefore I am not fearful of being left behind. Indeed, I would have much to fear right now save that I am covered by the Blood and that I am "in Christ." Let me further explain. There are many idols as we all know, anything that gets in the way of our love and worship of our Saviour. Most of you well know this already, but even if this would help just one--t'would make this well worth it. So here goes.

Two nights ago I suddenly woke up and quickly turned in bed to see a leering face not six inches away. It was not in the flesh like us, but yet I could clearly make out the twisted scowl of a spirit, hard to describe. I've had the common sleep paralysis experience several times when I was younger where I would call on the Name of the Lord and be released. This was different. In the 2 or 3 seconds before it faded, I was simply flabbergasted but not afraid. I did not think to call on the Lord it all happened so fast. So far I haven't seen it return.

I searched the internet trying to find a similiar picture but couldn't. Then I walked into my 23 year old stepson's room, and was immediately struck by a presence. It was leering at me in the form of a wooden tiki he had brought home from Hawaii weeks before. On the bottom it says: "the god of money." I now know from personal experience and from a few websites that these trinkets for tourists can come with their own personal demon. My stepson, who I don't believe is saved, was just flippant about it wanting to laugh it off, didn't like it when I put it out in the driveway: "Where the hell is my tiki?"

By the way, it was in close proximity or touching my wife's head, and in the morning I asked her about her dreams. Not knowing about this yet, she told me of some wierd dream about some giant monster with twisted sexual undertones.

This is where it stands now. I sent him the following emails which he said he will read tomorrow:

Don't open yourself up to demons by possessing idols, even thought you may view them as precious artifacts or art. I'm not kidding, demons, unknown to the owner, have come into households because they 'belong' to the owned artifact or idol. They feel they have a right to accompany the idol that represents them. God was telling them that, when they went into the Promised Land, they would find a lot of idols. Why did God says this? He tells us in 1 Corinthians 10:19-22, which we just read. Because demons inspired the making and use of these idols. When you worship these things, or bring these things into your home, you bring demons in. The Navajo cachinas are idols fashioned after demonic manifestations the Navajo's have really seen. Unicorns have demonic origins. Demons can actually accompany the possession of these things, unknown to us. Don't open yourself up to demons by possessing idols, even though you may view them as 'art'.

We pay a price to follow Christ. He paid the ultimate price, and he asks us to forsake what's bad for us. Is that so high a price to pay?

Another form of idolatry is putting something ahead of God. Satan can also stuff God out of our lives by all the activities that tend to get crowded into our daily existence. How much time do we give to God, and also Godly fellowship with God's people? As it gets close to the end, Satan is going to try to crowd God out of our lives more and more. We have to put Him back into our lives more and more to offset this. You could say Deuteronomy 7 is old covenant stuff, but you can turn to the book of Acts and see where they gathered up all this pagan stuff they had, books of magic and had a huge bonfire with all this stuff. They burned it all. It's New Testament also. Don't become fanatical, but listen to God's Spirit. Satan the devil is not bothering you or me, I assure you. We're not that important. He's a created being. He can only be in one place at a time. As the saying goes, he's got bigger fish to fry. But if you've got this junk in your house--if your worshipping images or venerating images--you've got Saint Jude buried in the backyard, so you'll sell your house--give me a break! Is anything more idolatrous than that? Guys, if you think this advice is crazy, then maybe your foolish heart has been darkened.

Just one more word, if you're husband isn't a Christian, and the cachina collection is his, don't you dare go home and burn it! Use wisdom. Some of you may be in the position where you can't do anything about the stuff there. When we go to a Chinese restaurant and there are Chinese gods all around, we can't burn them or destroy this artwork. Reading your fortune is fortune telling--eat the cookie, yes, but don't read the fortune. Following Jesus is 100 percent or nothing. Jesus says 'If you're not with me, you're against me.'"


As I'm sitting here finishing this it is 11:58 (2 minutes to midnight). We just had a minor earthquake.
My heart is still racing. The dog was looking wild-eyed! (This is California.) But in closing I was just going to say--I'll feel better after I burn the tiki god (plus the one I found on my wife's key chain from the Philippines I hadn't noticed before).

The bottom line is: I believe those of us who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are untouchable, totally protected from the power of Satan and his angels by the Blood of Christ. But God help those who are not.

Very well said! For years i've been trying to get this point across to people. I personally have had many demonic attacks, some due to evil things such as books written by evil people left in my house by relatives or even having posters of metal bands or rock stars on the wall. I have a cd collection of around 300 cd's that i've been struggling with to get rid of, although i no longer listen to these bands and haven't for over a year and a half now, still it bothers my conscience to know they are still in my house and now that I found out they are mostly satanically or illuminati inspired works, I realize they must be destroyed.
One of the things that saddens me most is I always loved Bob Dylan, especially his Christian albums in the late 70's early 80's, but now i find out he serves Lucifer and made a pact with him from his early days, I am heart broken because I really thought he was saved.

What about Bob? I don't refute what you said. I do agree with all of this!! I am very careful about things brought into my house.... but i was just thinking about the houses I go into!! I have a house cleaning service and some of my clients have things like this in their houses.... one house I refuse to dust one of her statues..it is creeeepy and demonic.... but i also believe God is drawing her near to Him and the other night she called me and a door was opened to minister to her.... I am hoping a door will open soon to minister to her about these statues she has....

Also someone else reads very demonic books and when i am there I feel awful.... I used to be all high and mighty like this...not reading the cookie not even getting the cookie...but i am over that now...lol.... I will not recieve anything that is not from God but sometimes those cookies seem like God used it to speak to me....I am not saying this is a big practice with me so dont misunderstand...

Also yes I agree that you should not be all high and mighty with your husband either...Gods grace is sufficient..... you win your husband over with love not by being a tyrant....

Joyful Susan--I appreciate all of the above! Please note: the above words about the fortune cookies were not mine, but were part of the article I submitted. I myself have always read--reluctantly--never taking them seriously--Chinese fortune cookies. Never thought about implications. Should we? That's another question I have no answer for.

But please let it be noted--I have read, Joyful, many of your posts as of late, and I so concur and appreciate the stand you take concerning grace. You are "joyful" because you embrace God's Work, and God's Goodness--end of story. And when you go in those houses, the bottom line is:

you are protected by the Holy Spirit of our Lord.

If not Joy, perhaps you will be using "Dawn." Easter--which also has its pagan influences--it's hard to get away from it--also represents "resurrection!" (and I guess first fruits). It is the dawning of that Morning Star the bible talks about--in our hearts--and hopefully, the final resurrection and rapture, the translation of the saints. (But you will not be reading this because your hands are in the dish water.)

Yes, I agree--especially when it is all around us. Yet, most people want to avoid it. It's an uncomfortable subject. When you're looking square in its face it drives the point home. You cannot believe your eyes. I believe in these last days there are many among us who possess an unfamiliar spirit. On the higher level it can explain the outright hatred toward the apple of God's eye: Israel; and toward Christians--who hold to the fundamentals: Jesus, the only way; Jesus, the Son of God: Jesus. Who could have it any other way?

I would still like to hear more on Bob Dylan. Where are all the heavy hitters: the Joe dimaggio's, the Ted Williams's--of RITA?

I used to have this picture of Jesus with tears in His eyes, and I hung it on my living room wall. The picture seemed so real to me, and it helped me to pray when I was looking at it because I could imagine Jesus looking at me with compassion. Well, I was feeling more and more uncomfortable looking at the picture when I was praying until I had to take it down altogether. Then I felt a peace. Sounds like the Lord was trying to tell me something, huh?

Well, right now I have no pictures at all hanging on my walls. And I have a whole lot of pictures of Jesus, but they're in my hall closet and I never take them out or look at them. Now since reading this article, I'm wondering if I should just throw them away?

I don't want to have anything in my house that would attract anything evil. I refused to watch any devil movies or anything like that. When Harry Potter came out, I refused to watch that so-called "kids" movie. When I found out that horoscopes was from the devil, I stopped reading those, too. (I used to read that stuff when I was a teenager when I didn't know any better.) I don't want to have anything to do with the devil...I run screaming in the opposite direction.

Sorry for such a late response regarding Bob Dylan, I was out all day and just got home. I own almost every Bob Dylan cd/album and can never understand how he went from being on fire for the Lord in the Christian era to being a mindless drone and releasing a christmas album this past winter full of material which is basically pagan worship guised as Christian just as our Christmas' really are. If he really were Christian, would he still play and be on the raod endlessly performing non Christian material? also here is what really bothers me, its the symbols on his Cd's and stage show, they have the all seeing eye/eye of horus, you can find this on his official website bobdylan.com on his merchandise.
Lately I have been doing alot of research and have come to find 95% or more of music and artists and are under Satan/illuminati/freemasonry, its pretty shocking, the whole entertainment industry from video games, too clothing, movies, tv shows, cartoons, so on is saturated in satanic/occult symbolism.
Lets get back to the Bob Dylan topic, his work after the Christian era shows confussion, I have read people close to him say he is an MK ultra mind control victim with multiple personalities, this would explain why he does strange things like show up in Canada on people property formerly belonging to Neil Young, Neil Young is another masonic/luciferian artist. There is so much in Bob Dylan's lyrics to suggest both that he is still Christian also to suggest he worships and serves Lucifer, this has truly become a mystery which no man can debunk, all we can do is pray for his salvation, because during his Christian era, you can hear through his songs and performances that he truly experienced something, being born again to be exact.

Yes I agree many things can become idols. Anything that sperates you from your time with God can be an idol. At our church today they spoke of so much clutter in our hearts that we don't leave much time for communion with God. Get rid of things that don't matter, that take up your time and do not allow you time with your heavenly father. Things like, tv, facebook, internet, video games, shopping, sports, etc... get rid of the clutter and simplify your life to make time for the one who gave it all for you!! Especially this holy week!!

To answer your question, I have always been afraid to have anything to do with the devil's world. Any hint of the devil, I would run as fast as I could the other way. The Lord, in His mercy, would guide me away from anything I did out of ignorance, like praying to that picture of Jesus with the tears in His eyes, for example. I didn't realize that was an idol. The Lord protects the simple, He really does. He knows my heart.

I don't know where to begin. In the Catholic Church, the pope is called Holy Father, Mary is on a pedestal, and my wife knows well they pray to their statues. I am devastated. This may be my last post, period. If you can't debate anything, then why am I here? We were having a serious discussion on a thread called: "Catholic parade..." etc.--the integrity of Christ's precious gospel was at stake. But I feel ecumenism became the bottom line. Brenda was warning there is no debating on this subject or site--she declared if she were to have a denomination it would be Catholic--then the thread was locked. My question is: is Brenz a mod? It's hard to find out. Suddenly, I'm the bad guy. Like I said, this may be my last post. Love is a high calling, I agree; but for me it doesn't include ecumenism and ultra-tolerance. That's the spirit of the anti-christ--to destroy many in the name of love.

When my kids were young, my then fiancee was still Catholic. I mistakenly let her keep her statue of Jesus in the house. When my kids went to sleep they were awoken by little hands or feet touching them.
