I have no cable TV so anyone who has it can watch it tonight in documentary film. I don't know where it is since I don't have cable TV. Just let us know what it is. The final product is kept for the documentary film, so in this flash news you won't see it just the process to produce it from the Famous Shroud of Tourin.

Now this is just me and I don't want to come off as disagreeing with anyone. Just a few thoughts .

I wonder if we are to watch this. I know we are all consumed with everything to do with Jesus and long to see His face, but He said in Exodus not to make any graven image or likeness of anything in heaven or earth. I do believe this is what man has tried to do here. With technology tried to make the image of The Son of God.

He also said to Thomas , Blessed are those who believe and have not seen.
Not that this show would effect our belief in anyway but I don't want some image of man's technology showing up in my mind when I am worshipping or praying.

Once again this is just me.. I am just throwing this out there for us to consider

Of course I know this show discusses the shroud of Turin and shows some real science proof of the resurrection so that is wonderful.

Then on the History Channel, I can tell you that this Shroud of the Turin special airs @ 9 p.m. (MT) in my area.

Surely Jesus wouldn't mind if we watched this purely out of curiosity, would he?

I understand what Mary Ann is saying and it is probably considered "old school" now; yet when Hollywood first started making movies depicting Jesus' life, the actor was always shown from behind and you never saw his face. At some point someone decided it was okay and in 1961, "King of Kings: was made with Jeffrey Hunter. Now there was a good looking Jesus!

However, there must be something about seeing the real (not reel) Jesus because scripture says:

I just got through watching the last 20 minutes or so the show, and He did look very much like that painting of Akianne's. Just amazing!

I did watch the program and it was NOT filled with the doubting and negative speculation you usually find. The picture of what the man on the shroud looked like was amazing. I heard myself say, "Yeshua!!"
The look on the face of the computer genius who put this together was fascinating. He showed a picture of the crucified and abused body and said, "They beat the hell out of Him!!' and he was visibly shaken.

How they tortured our beloved. It is so painful to see how he suffered for MY sins.

This is all so very overwhelming.

I started to watch it in progress and instead my husband went downstairs and Tivo'd it so we can watch it together.

They seemed very respectful from what I have seen.

This appears to be the last sign before He comes in Glory.

This really blows me away.

Thank You Father for sending your beloved Son, the darling of heaven, to suffer and die for our sins.
Thank You for the priceless gift of salvation.

I watched it too. When they revealed Jesus' full come-to-life face from the shroud, including him opening his eyes as if from death...it totally blew me away! I felt this certain unexplainable sensation as I was looking directly into our Beloved Saviour's eyes, as something stirred inside of me. WOW!!! Did you feel it too?

Also, did you notice that tomb scene for which there was a bright light enveloping Jesus' body that caused His disappearance from His wrappings? Seeing that, I wondered if that's precisely how we're going to be Raptured...by a flash of light enveloping our earthly bodies, and changing us into heavenly bodies (leaving our clothes behind) in nano-seconds, just like Jesus'?

I honestly believe that Jesus wanted us to see that. I also hope many non-Believers were watching, and that this was a long awaited for miracle that would bring many people to Jesus, in these last days. Perhaps, like those there in the lab/studio filming that, whom were awed by what they saw, accepting Jesus too?

It was like totally AWESOME!!!
