Perhaps you were fixin' to say hi to everybody..which would be to say hi to all y'all...however, I'd like to welcome y'all here and say hi to all y'all anyway since we all family!!
I went to an Irish, Catholic school in Texas....Only now I realize why English class was so difficult!!!
Welcome Dewey!!!!
There's always one in every crowd who has to exaspirate everyone with stupid questions. You've probably been asked this many times as you were growing up from peers---but I have to ask one more time. "So how are Huey and Luey?" Just teasing. Your name sent me down memory lane and you can tell where it took me.
Oh, how I loved comic books. I've wanted to share comic books with my grandson. They just don't make 'em like they used to. And the prices ,even if you could find such innocent entertainment any more, are beyond a kid's allowance. Graphic artists have taken over and such art comes with hefty prices. If only I'd known to save some then. And the stories are mostly dark angel type stories. Nothing like I'd want to introduce him to. A simple pleasure gone with the winds of time.
Donald Duck, Daisy and the nephews. Popeye and Olive Oyle. Mickey and Minnie Mouse. A dime was just right for a 25c a week allowance! (Just noted there's no cents sign on the keyboard any more.) Now if that isn't a sign of the times we live in?!
Well, I better sneak out the back door before people start asking how old I am! Anyway thanks for the memory and a hearty welcome to you and all the other newbies.
