If this volcano continues long enough it will definitely cool down the earth along with the lack of sufficient sunshine. One or 2 degrees would be all it would take to create a worldwide famine...and that is just one volcano.

Iceland volcano could have world consequences-1783 eruption changed weather patterns,sent poisoned air to British Isles

Iceland volcano could change the climate worldwide and cause much devastation!

There has even been talk about this calamity having a "nuclear winter" effect which is a long period of darkness and extreme cold that scientists predict would follow a full-scale nuclear war. There would be a layer of dust and smoke in the atmosphere that would cover the earth and block the rays of the sun in which most living organisms would perish.

This global catastrophe would produce famine and pestilence. These are the signs that Jesus told us to look for that indicate the end of the age.

Matthew 24:3...the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

The below describes what happened the last time Iceland's Katla volcano erupted. There is a very real possiblity of a similar cataclysm with the geothermal activity now occuring now in Iceland


We need to see that we are at the end of the age and that Jesus was so mericiful that He forewarned us of what to watch for so we could prepare ourselves for His coming.


It is time for any unsaved to accept the free gift of salvation bought by the blood of Jesus Christ as a pardon for all our sins.


Those that have accepted this gift of eternal life need to separate from the temporal and draw close to the Lord God Almighty. We do want to be found lukewarn when He comes as He warned us that He would vomit the lukewarm out of His mouth.

Iceland's Laki volcano erupted in 1783, freeing gases that turned into smog. The smog floated across the Jet Stream, changing weather patterns. Many died from gas poisoning in the British Isles. Crop production fell in western Europe. Famine spread. Some even linked the eruption, which helped fuel famine, to the French Revolution. Painters in the 18th century illustrated fiery sunsets in their works.


The winter of 1784 was also one of the longest and coldest on record in North America. New England reported a record stretch of below-zero temperatures and New Jersey reported record snow accumulation. The Mississippi River also reportedly froze in New Orleans."

Joel 2:30 "And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke."

This verse alone makes one sit up and take notice in light of what we have seen in just the last few months. Heavenly and Cosmic activiity....lots of it. Pillars of Smoke? Now that one really was a mystery for me. Not now. Imagine every semi-active volcano going active for just a week or so.

No....forget that, I don't want to imagine that.

I've heard of the year without a summer and it being related to volcanic activity.
