Hi Donna, Even though it was good intended, unfortunately our constitution allowed for freedom to be elevated above God's Holy Word.

I do agree with your statement that this crisis is causing people to really examine things, which is a good thing. However, if people stop short at the constitution and don't realize the real problem, which is God's Word being set aside, and essentially taking a backseat to our freedoms, then it is going to run into a dead end!

This is where I believe we are now and that is why I am so encouraged to know that Jesus has to come back to correct things. I believe only by Him returing will His Word ever rule on this earth, and take precedent over everything, even our freedom!

Still, I am grateful how our founding fathers did not separate the God of the Bible from state; but acknowledged the True God of the Bible as the source of our rights.

This nation is the only one where our founding fathers remembered Biblical morality, I think, while writing up this nation's documents and laws. Exactly meant to help prevent a future tyrannical overtaking.

To me that's a gift from our GOD, not meant as an idol, . . I can sure respect that . .

I honestly believe their ' common sense 'contributed to the American Character, (God saying, 'let us reason together').

No doubt our founding fathers were liberal in their day, but in a good way . All good gifts come from above, from the Father of Lights.

Amen Donna! I see your point as well! I truly believe our Lord has allowed His Church to mature during the past 200+ years, and the Gospel to spread throughout the world, with the aid of this Christian founded nation.

I think that also evil has been allowed to mature in this environment as well!!

It seems that we are down to the wire of going home, especially now that the world has nuclear weapons probably in the hands of terrorists.

That to me says that the time is up and I believe our Lord will step in now!

Everyone has excellent points. We don't know what we have until we lose it, is such an approprate saying for what is going on in America. We have had an enormous wake up call!

I applaud all the citizens who are standing up to become re-aquainted with what we've been given, in order to come together to try to keep it, in the face of this president trying to take it all away.

I believe for the majority, it is a re-awakening both to God and Country!

And even tho the Lord is about to return for His own, it is good to be gathering together to fight for God, Country and freedom until that time.

I'm going to go a bit off topic and here and ask you something, Sue.

Do you remember back in the early 80's when the Lord had Billye and Kent Brim to go to California and visit Azusa Street before it was torn down? That was quite a teaching.

The Lord showed her, "Azusa" in the supernatural means for the United States:

Alpha - Omega USA

It represented the supernatural beginnings of our nation and it was brought out at the end of the Azusa Street Revival that there would be an even greater outpouring a century later. That was in 1906, I believe.

I first heard that story while listening to the Southwest Believers Convention of 1984. It had Charles Capps, and the Halversons on it as well. As well as one of the greatest prophecies given by Kenneth Copeland.

Remember any of that?

Mark W, I have heard Billye refer back to that prophecy but I don't think I have ever heard the whole thing. There were some old-timers back right after Azusa Street who were told that an awakening would happen again in the U.S. about a hundred years later. We are overdue if that is the case because 2006 would have been 100 years. I may email her and see if they can send a copy of it.

The part where he talks about "walking the streets of the planets and the stars" (and so forth) has stayed with me from the first time that I read it.

The Body of Christ no matter how many millions (and or billions) to be counted in the "Lambs Book of Life" will amount to nothing when we travel through the Universe after the Great White Throne Judgement and beyond.

It is a very powerful word and really unforgettable once it is seen.

Oh, that these groups were Christians coming together to wail and pray over the sin in our nation!

About 5000 babies a day are still being murdered through the legal choice of abortion. And that is called "good" law? Their innocent blood cries out to God, just like that of Abel's!

Immoral sexuality is portrayed 24 hours a day on the airwaves and cable. Even the more "modest" networks have porn in the afternoon, and lust in the evening. (Remember..."love in the afternoon?")

There is a flood of filth attacking every man from behind the tube (or LCD) portal to the internet. Thanks be to God that he has kept me from that secret sin! In Him will I glory! It is certainly not me or my flesh.

If this nation would call sin what it is--SIN, and call out to God for forgiveness, EVERYTHING else would take care of itself.

Acknowledge Him in all our ways, and HE would direct our paths! All enemies, both foreign and domestic would be scattered!

But the man-pleasers in charge cannot see or comprehend this. Therefore they continue addressing all the symptoms of God's judgment without realizing the cause.

For Israel to be left alone, the U.S. would have to diminish, so it is not all too surprising what our government is doing to our nation at this time.

Lord, please pour out your Spirit of mercy and grace upon the President and call him to true repentance and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ! May he be transformed!
