Isaiah - the naked prophet

Isa 21:10 Oh my people threashed and winnowed.
I told you everything the Lord has said that i know
Isa 21:3 I grow faint when I know what God is planning
Afraid to look, afraid to know what i know.

isa 22;13 Weep and morn my people I am calling
Shave your head ( heart) in sorrow for your sin
Wear the clothes of burlap I am callin
Shave your heart in sorrow for your sin.

Isa22: 13 But instead you dance and play among your people
Far from the heart of God that I know
Isa 20: 1-3 Naked and barefoot I am calling
return to the heart of God that I know.

Isa 22:14 You will never be forgiven oh my people
Return to the heart of God that I know.
Isa 29: 13 You honer me with lips and songs of worship
Man made rules; by rote you know what you know.

Isa 30: 1 You make plans contrary to mine
Isa 30 : 10 The road that you walk; full of lies
30 :15 Return to me ; oh my people
In quiteness and rest you willfind

30 :16 Egypt and the world holds not the answer.
In quiteness and rest you will find
Seek me and you will find
Oh my people ; know the heart of mine.

Re: Isaiah - the naked prophet

Isaiah is my favorite book of the Bible and my favorite verse is

41:13

New International Version
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Re: Isaiah - the naked prophet

I heard recently (2-3 months ago) in my sleep about this chapter in Isaiah, its a good book and speaks right at what we are hoping for.

Isaiah 56
Salvation for the Gentiles
1 Thus says the LORD:

“ Keep justice, and do righteousness,
For My salvation is about to come,
And My righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who lays hold on it;
Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”
3 Do not let the son of the foreigner
Who has joined himself to the LORD
Speak, saying,

“ The LORD has utterly separated me from His people”;
Nor let the eunuch say,

“ Here I am, a dry tree.”
4 For thus says the LORD:

“ To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths,
And choose what pleases Me,
And hold fast My covenant,
5 Even to them I will give in My house
And within My walls a place and a name
Better than that of sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name
That shall not be cut off.
6 “ Also the sons of the foreigner
Who join themselves to the LORD, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the LORD, to be His servants—
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant—
7 Even them I will bring to My holy mountain,
And make them joyful in My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices
Will be accepted on My altar;
For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
8 The Lord GOD, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says,

“ Yet I will gather to him
Others besides those who are gathered to him.”
Israel’s Irresponsible Leaders
9 All you beasts of the field, come to devour,
All you beasts in the forest.
10 His watchmen are blind,
They are all ignorant;
They are all dumb dogs,
They cannot bark;
Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
11 Yes, they are greedy dogs
Which never have enough.
And they are shepherds
Who cannot understand;
They all look to their own way,
Every one for his own gain,
From his own territory.
12 “ Come,” one says, “I will bring wine,
And we will fill ourselves with intoxicating drink;
Tomorrow will be as today,
And much more abundant.”

the Lord showed me thistoday
Isaiah 2net bible

The Future Glory of Jerusalem
2:1 Here is the message about Judah and Jerusalem 1 that was revealed to Isaiah son of Amoz. 2

2:2 In the future 3

the mountain of the Lord’s temple will endure 4

as the most important of mountains,

and will be the most prominent of hills. 5

All the nations will stream to it,

2:3 many peoples will come and say,

“Come, let us go up to the Lord’s mountain,

to the temple of the God of Jacob,

so 6 he can teach us his requirements, 7

and 8 we can follow his standards.” 9

For Zion will be the center for moral instruction; 10

the Lord will issue edicts from Jerusalem. 11

2:4 He will judge disputes between nations;

he will settle cases for many peoples.

They will beat their swords into plowshares, 12

and their spears into pruning hooks. 13

Nations will not take up the sword against other nations,

and they will no longer train for war.

2:5 O descendants 14 of Jacob,

come, let us walk in the Lord’s guiding light. 15

The Lord’s Day of Judgment
2:6 Indeed, O Lord, 16 you have abandoned your people,

the descendants of Jacob.

For diviners from the east are everywhere; 17

they consult omen readers like the Philistines do. 18

Plenty of foreigners are around. 19

2:7 Their land is full of gold and silver;

there is no end to their wealth. 20

Their land is full of horses;

there is no end to their chariots. 21

2:8 Their land is full of worthless idols;

they worship 22 the product of their own hands,

what their own fingers have fashioned.

2:9 Men bow down to them in homage,

they lie flat on the ground in worship. 23

Don’t spare them! 24

2:10 Go up into the rocky cliffs,

hide in the ground.

Get away from the dreadful judgment of the Lord, 25

from his royal splendor!

2:11 Proud men will be brought low,

arrogant men will be humiliated; 26

the Lord alone will be exalted 27

in that day.

2:12 Indeed, the Lord who commands armies has planned a day of judgment, 28

for 29 all the high and mighty,

for all who are proud – they will be humiliated;

Re: Isaiah - the naked prophet

Hi Sarah and MtnMollie,

It was interesting to me that your favorite verse is Isaiah 41:13. Just above it is Isaiah 41:10 which is a verse which I felt the Lord gave me in times of severe spiritual warfare and illness:

Isaiah 41:10

10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Also a favorite of mine is Isaiah 40:31 which I've always believed referred to the rapture:

Isaiah 40:31 (New King James Version)
31 But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Re: Isaiah - the naked prophet

I lived my life by Isaiah 40: 31 and sat at his feet

and let God fight my battles.

I entered his rest.
There is giants in the promised land
but those who trust in him and believe
enter his rest.

Amen Mollie!! I used to have a small sign over my desk at work that said "The Winner Trusts in Jesus"

Here is a quote from a poem called The Rose -

"For the pathway that lies before me my heavenly Father knows, I'll trust Him to unfold the moment just as He unfolds the rose."

God bless you today sister!
