I've got a few hundred pop cans. The thing is this: I don't want these cans. I am in the process of downsizing my beer can collection and I want to do the same with my soft drink cans.

But: I don't want to throw cans away (or recycle them). I prefer to find them homes with people who ARE collecting pop cans.
So I don't know what to do.
If there was a nearby pop can collectors, I'd drop them off on his front porch and run like hell.

I'm just another one of those people that quit collecting in my early twenties as life got busier. I was a serious dumper along with by brother. We would ride our 10 speed bicycles for miles and miles and come home each with two garbage bags full of cans usually found digging deep. We would balance the weight out by tying a bag to each one of the handlebars. My best find: a twelve pack of 007's on the side of the road all grade 1- to 2-. My biggest regret: sold em and all of my collection for $800 when sophmore in college. Needed cash for gas, food, rent. Back collecting after 25 years. Nice website. Back in the day, my brother and I didn't know that there were other dump divers in the world. We were kind of isolated in the country and were oblivious to the can collecting world. It's kinda cool after all these years to find a site like this. Maybe we weren't that big of freaks afterall......:)
