Great website! Very informative! Loved the AFRN audio\'s! Dad was then CAPT Farwell served with HQ Company 1st BG, 19th ID, then XO/CO 2nd Mech Battalion, 34th Infantry with 24th ID from 1960-1964 in Augsburg. We lived at Fryar Circle housing and I will never forget the sound of the entire motor pool of tanks and APCs and other vehicles starting their diesel engines at 2 am to race out to the woods for weeks at a time in response to Check Point Charlie and other incidents! If anyone remembers my Dad please let me know! He retired at a COL but passed in 1996 from Agent Orange cancer. He loved his time in Germany!

I was stationed in Augsburg (Flak Kaserne) as an MP in the 218th MP Company. We patrolled Flak, Reese, and Sheridan Kasernes as well as some off-post areas. Loved Augsburg and all of Germany. I can\'t wait to go back and visit.
