Served three tours in Germany, retired from the Army in 1985. Have been back to Germany many times. Returned from Germany this past July. Visited Garmisch-Partenkirchen then up to Nurnberg. Really enjoyed it and may go back next year or the year after that. Walter, as I have said in the past, you have done a wonderful and tremendous job with this website. As some General once said, \"I shall return.\" |

To the Sgt at the 21st Replacement Battalion in Frankfurt--you all know the place. The Sgt who said \"you better list every criminal offense, down to the traffic ticket you ever received\" on some kind of form--with the threat if you don\'t, we\'ll find out and charge you. So I list everything--and big mouth Sgt decides to stop what he\'s doing and read them aloud to everyone within earshot. Great set up they had there. Lots of Privacy NOT. Was so glad to get on with things, only to learn I was headed to Baumholder for my duration. Made the Best of it. Thanks Sarge. |
