Hello, I\'m hoping someone here can help me. My father, Johnny Posey (SP4), served with HHB, 2nd Battalion, 83rd Field Artillery in Babenhausen, Germany from 1972-1975. He was a Redeye missile gunner and also served as a Custodial Agent for nuclear weapons in the battery.
Sadly, Dad passed away recently from kidney cancer. I would love to connect with anyone who served with him or in the same unit during that time — both to hear memories of my dad, and because statements from fellow soldiers about the unit\'s nuclear mission and duties could help us understand and get closure.
