I am starting to recruit marshals and helpers for our big event of the year - the Standalone 10k! Race day is the morning of Sunday 1st October and we need around 100 volunteers to put on a safe and successful event. If you could spare some time on race day, or the day before, then please post below. I'll endeavour to place you in any preferred positions/time frames that you are available for. All helpers get a free race t-shirt and lots of smiles from the runners as well!
Thanks for your support over the last 30 years squirrels, let's make this the best race yet
Lucy I can help on the Saturday ado am helping Astrid with the kiddies run on the Sunday.
Happy to help with where ever is needed. My preference would be Saturday on numbers, Sunday morning set up, an early point marshal then back for t shirts.

Richard, let me know my duties for the 6am start on Sunday
I can help Sunday if needed but I will have my kids with me so would need a marshal point near the start that doesn't require much traffic management as they won't want to stand around for too long. Think I've done The Birches in the past which worked.
I can help on Saturday and Jamie and Bob would like to marshal together on race day.

The spreadsheet of marshals is still a working document so please check back, you may be moved around to accommodate for people with needs like marshaling with little ones. Still some spots to fill so please keep signing up! If you have signed up but your name isn't there, I just haven't allocated you a spot yet, all current volunteers will be allocated by tomorrow

I can ask some of my friends live in Letchworth if you stil need more helpers, they are non runners, so, simple jobs like handing banana or t-shirt might suit them. Please let me know if you need them.
Hi Lucy, I'm happy to help on Sunday.
Lucy. My friends Julie Taylor and Janine Fox are down as race makers and Pen Holders. Are you able to explain what this is and will they get any chance to watch the race as they have family running and had hoped to be out on the route. Thanks
They will be in and around the farm and car parks pre race, then holding the pens for the start of the race. They should then be free to watch the race.
I have passed on message to a couple of commitee members just want to make sure that you are aware that i am unable to do the water station 6 tomorrow. Shani
