Those that have done it will know that Tring is a very hilly parkrun with the first 1km pretty much being uphill all the way. I do it quite a lot as have family there but annoyingly I have never got close to my course pb which was first time I ran it and have actually been getting slightly slower every time unlike any other parkrun I do. It had become a bit of a mental block to the point I began to avoid it and do other parkruns in the area.
I went there yesterday morning felt good set off a bit quicker than would normally, actually felt reasonably ok after the first hilly 1km and hung on in there to get a time of 24:19 being a course pb of 45 seconds. Very happy.
