Fantastic result today! We had a great turn out of 41 flying squirrels! Thank you very much to all runners! We all looked awsome.
The provisional results are that the men won! The ladies were 2nd and we won overall!
This should place us joint top overall with Ampthill, with Bedford a point behind. I will post when get the results confirmed later.
The scoring teams were Men: Jim, Adam, Ed, John A, John R, Matt, Ryan, Dan. Women: Katie, Astrid, Jane, Tash.
Great supports and helpers too. Thanks to Mark, Monica for doing the scoring for us and Ernie for managing the kit bag.
We also had some great tactical performances. Pete, James and Steve - running with the ladies for support and then dropping in behind for the finish.
This means that we will have a great time at our home race, and hopefully another overall victory - so I'm very excited now!

Thanks John. Great running everyone. Do you know the female positions?
Not yet Jane, hopefully later tonight.
Sarah, Paula -there was a little confusion on the sheet, sorry about the order of you two.
Don’t worry John - just seen results are on the website.
Great job everyone. It almost makes running up *that* hill worth it!
Excellent effort all. When I close my eyes I keep seeing the Hill. I hope I can sleep tonight.
Results on website. Bring on our home race at Standalone in 3 weeks time on December 17th.
We can win this!
Everything to play for in all competitions.
Brilliant! Great to see us back at the top of the league.
Very enjoyable morning. Thanks to James K for the lift and to XC Rep John A for his superb flapjack.
What a great morning out. Well done to everyone that ran, cheered, supported etc.
Another great day for the Squirrels. Lets all make it even better on Dec 17th.
Fantastic result - well done Squirrels!
Just goes to show what we can do when we have a strong turnout - Ladies, we must keep this strong presence going for the next two races to maximise our chance of finishing top of the league - GO SQUIRRELS!! :muscle:
well done all - we can be even better next race
Great result team NHRR. Big thanks to Sibbo for helping (or in reality BEASTING) me round today. So much more enjoyable looking back on it, rather than during it. John A - loved the flapjack and the general exuberance of your XC team leadership. Well done for rallying the troops to a brilliant position going into the last race. 🙃🙃🙃
Brilliant, well done everyone!
Remember there are two remaining races in the Three Counties XC league.
17th Dec - Letchworth
14th Jan - Biggleswade
Note that the final race his hosted by Biggleswade, but is located in Bedford town centre. This is a new course.

I enquired about the age category results as they have been missing from the results. They have been produced and are now on the 3CXC results page.
Many thanks for chasing that up, John :slightly_smiling_face:
