Thank you for posting on the SORE League.
It will be cold running again this weekend. :snow_cloud:
I suppose anything can happen weather-wise as in one of the hottest places in the world on January 9th this year in a desert town in Algeria known as the "Gateway to the Sahara" they experienced a substantial amount of snow (15 inches in some parts), reportedly only the third time in 40 years. So you never know, we may get a heatwave one day soon! :sunny:
Good luck to all those running long this week.

16.3 tough miles this morning. Stotfold, Letchworth and Baldock.
A merry little band of runners went up to Graffham this morning and got the best of the weather before the rain - (well nearly all of us) we all did different distances but mine was 10.5. Thanks Paul, Adam, Laura and Dave for the company. 🙃 And the bacon roll 🥓 :)
We did well today team. A little breezy and pretty cold. Bacon rolls and tea, yum. Now so tired and resting after 17.6 miles
Long runs for me this week are;
Wednesday 10.1 miles
Sunday 20.1 miles.
A rather measly 10 miles round the streets of Hitchin for me this morning - after deciding that racing the hilly 10K I had planned for today whilst nursing a full-blown cough was probably not a good idea :disappointed:
13.2 sunny miles around the Greenway against a headwind 😀
A beautiful bright, but blustery 16miles today for me - Graveley & Greenway!
Naomi and Lucy did the St. Valentines 30k today (18.6ish miles)
11 miles, start of marathon training!
13.19 miles on the beastly Baldock Beast with Yellow Group. Thought it would be easy peasy once we were up THE HILL at Waddington and through the village - then we were hit by a very strong westerly (felt like 2 forward 1 back) estimate windchill of -16C (assuming 40 mph wind). Pleased to get a steaming hot 'bowl' of coffee at Costa/Tesco. :wind_blowing_face:
Had an idea of doing an out and back along the Grand Union canal from Hemel to Berkhamstead and back but after 5 minutes on the canal just found it so muddy it wasn't enjoyable (I've had enough mud recently) so got off canal and completed a hilly 10 mile run around Hemel.
11 on Wednesday around Hitchin.
20.2 this morning out to stevenage and back.
2 posts this week.
10.1 miles around Hertford, Ware and Waterford village on Wednesday.
15.1 Worthing Half Marathon and 2 mile warm up today.
16 miles around Stotfold, Arlesey and Letchworth on Saturday
10.5 round Grafam for me + 1 bacon roll and 2 cups of Tea!
15 miles for me. I did the Beast with Brian B and a few other Yellows. I ended up doing an extra couple of miles when I ran back to the start when we realized we had started without Petra - oops!
2 scoring runs this week:
11 miles on Friday
22 miles on Sunday
10+ local miles for me last Friday..
18 miles last night winding my way around letchworth.
