This is a great monthly event put on by the Serpentine Running Club. It’s generally the last Friday of the month but with Easter it was a week early. It’s a great setting for a 5k; flat, good turn out, nice atmosphere and well organised.
Last Friday were good conditions for running (no snow, wind or rain, 12 degrees) and my training for Rotterdam marathon has gone better than I ever expected. I was hoping to get a PB so really pleased with 16:54; a 31 second improvement.
It’s at 12.30 pm so if you can sneak out for a slightly long lunch on a Friday, or you fancy a trip to a lovely part of London then this is well worth considering. It’s only £2 to enter but you do need to enter a couple of weeks before. Suitable for all runners. Visit the Serpernine Running Clun website for more info.
