Does anyone have any recommendations for a head torch that can be used for both running and cycling? I'm not too worried about budget (within reason) if it can be used for both.
Alan - quite a few of us have got the Light and Motion ones, there are a few different ones I think. Mine has a very bright white light on the front, and a red light at the back. It's rechargeable via a USB cable. I have major issues with night vision, and I certainly find it gives me more confidence running in the dark. They're not cheap, but a good investment I think.
I have a petzl tikka rxp
It has reactive light (so dims when there is enough light to see anyway) which prolongs battery life.
Great in 99% of situations (apart from patchy fog which confuses the reactive sensor).
Low weight, comfortable, small, has a wide angle/spot/red light mode and 215 lumens
Light and Motion 360 vis pro I think.
Can be used with headband for running, or with attachment for cycle helmet. Mine has 250 lumens, aluminium case so very robust. Well worth the money.
Thanks for the help folks. Next question, where's the best place to buy the Light and Motion lights?
just looking, as I need to buy one anyway. I got on for Sue last year from Tredz.
See link below:
you will also need to buy a headband to go with this set, which is what I did last time. See the link below for headband:
Tredz appear to have other options also, so worth a browse.
Also cyclestore do them (slightly cheaper):
I'm pretty sure I got mine online from Cyclestore.
Thanks for all the advice and I have ordered mine from Tri Sports in Letchworth as they have some in stock but can order them in quite quickly and also get club discount.
