What a fantastic turn out this morning! :raised_hands:
Thanks to everybody that travelled to Ampthill park. Great support team. Great bunch of runners. We had a scurry of 37 squirrel runners. :+1:
The course was quite tough, and it was windy too!
Thankyou to Kat and Dickie for taking down our scores. :writing_hand: Kat definitely had the hand writing of an English teacher. :+1:
Scoring for the men today was Tom, Adam, Jim, Darren, Matt, Ed, Stewart and Mark.
Scoring for the ladies was Natalie, Katie, Astrid and Paula.
We were very strong in both men and women, with plenty of back up too.
As you will see below, I am absolutely delighted that we got a well deserved clean sweep of victories today! Exactly the results we wanted. A superb team performance by all. :boom:
Very happy to take a clean sweep in Ampthills back yard. It was so close in the mens competition too!
I think this places the ladies joint top on points, and we should be top with the lower total score. I make it 33 scoring points lead. However, its on for the last race shoot out! Exciting!
We have won the combined competition in all 4 races so far, lets keep that going. We are the best team. Would be perfect to get all 5 victories. Infact, we want another clean sweep at Wootton.
Next race is in 2 weeks at Wootton. Jan 27th.
I'll post full results when they are available.

Fantastic! My first x-country and now it's over, I loved it. I found the course really tough, but thoroughly enjoyable. What an incredible team we have!
Well done everyone - fantastic result! I nearly made this one but then decided I'd rather go for a long hack on my horse and then take Bella for a good walk. It was windy. I lost my hat cover. Willow lost a shoe. Nothing to do with wind that one though. Bella is now snoring her head off. I wouldn't have affected the result though so I don't feel bad about not turning up - I just wish the races were long enough to make it worthwhile!
Well done again!
Oh Jo - going to have to disagree with you - that was definitely long enough!!!

Well done Phil, congrats on the first XC race. Really pleased you enjoyed it. Spread the word! :+1:
So after 4 races we now have had 65 individuals turn out at least once. :+1:
22 squirrels have ran 1 race
12 squirrels have run 2 races
15 squirrels have ran 3 races
16 squirrels have ran all 4 races so far.
This has given us a total of 155 finishers.
Compared to Ampthill who have had 265 finishers and 116 individuals turn out.
And Bedford have had 361 finishers and 138 individuals turn out.
I'd love to get above 70 squirrels taken part after Wootton, why not come and give it a go?
you were all totally awesome today. I was lucky enough to get to watch this one and you were all looking strong on what was a tough course. Very proud of all of you well done everyone.
Congratulations everyone on a fabulous team performance and I hear we had the best support team as well:) Sorry I couldn't be there in person, as I was being put through the ordeal of a mock examination for my soft tissue therapy course, but I am looking forward to race 5 in 2 weeks time>
Fantastic results! I really appreciated the efforts of our great support team. Many thanks, all! And a big thank you to Lindsey for some great photos!
