I am delighted to be making my debut as Race Director at the Greenway Challenge on Sunday 12th May and hope lots of you will be entering the race as profits will be supporting our fabulous club charities, Jackie's Dropin and Tracks Autism. The race starts at 9am so you will have the afternoon free to spend relaxing with family and friends:) There will also be cake at the finish and a medal! Standalone is a fabulous venue for supporters so do spread the word.
In order to put on a safe race I am also appealing for helpers. Already signed up are Richard as Safety Officer, Jo i/c cake, Monica i/c registration, Astrid start/finish, Lindsay i/c entries and Ian on car parking so there's lots of experience to guide me:) Marshals are placed at all the road crossings, not to stop traffic, but just to warn runners that there is a road ahead and stop then dashing out. We are looking for 16 marshals, people to help with cakes and drinks after the race and a couple of people to help Ian with car parking before the race. There are probably a couple of other jobs that will pop up later. Please sign up below if you are willing to help. Thank you, I know it will be a fabulous day.

Happy to help with anything. Last year I marshalled at the crossing under the A1 in Baldock and got back in time to help dish out water at the finish.

Is there any chance I could be placed around Ivel springs or Norton road in Baldock? I live nearby, I also might manage to persuade the family to get involved with cheering.
However, if that doesn't suit or you have other plans for me I am happy to be wherever.
I hope Karen does not mind me jumping in with my 'Cake Manager' hat on - I have offered to co ordinate cake making and the whole cake extravaganza on the day so I will put a separate thread to gather all offers together in the next couple of weeks. Happy to run the tea station again with Helen M and Jo S like we did for the cross country at Standalone or anywhere else you’d like me to be.
We will bring the NHRR branded gazebo for use at the finish.
I would love to help with number collection on race day if that's OK.
Sue is happy to do an early marshal spot (might keep Sibbo out of trouble!), and will bring cake.
Will both be around for clear up afterwards.
