Completed the Hatfield 5 miler in a PB of 41.10 after doing the Stevenage Park run on Saturday in 26.o6 which was 1st in my age category
Really pleased to get a PB at the Hatfield 5 mile this morning with 46.49 chip time. Nice to have the company of some yellows and purples there today and to do better than I expected
I completed the Hatfield 5 mile this morning in 52:06
Forgot to check the chip time! 51:23 😄
I also completed the Hatfield 5ml and my watch time was 43.35 but clock time 44.08. The race also included the Herts Vets County Champs and I was 2nd V70
This has become a popular 5ml race and a shame it clashes with the X/C
I (Clare Hooley) was at Hatfield 5 miles too - this is a nice flat course - the antithesis of XC! It’s also super well marshalled. There’s quite a narrow start, so you do need to take the chip time unless you are quite near the front, and it actually seems to require maths to work it out (Ian you have 43:37!). I was 55:57, which is about 2 mins faster than my time from last year.
Hatfield 5ml chip times
Carl Haskell 34.04
Adam Wilson 39.59
Elwyn Howell 41.42
Ian Sutcliffe 44.08
Lorna Chambers 47.31
Hailey Batson 48.33
Vanessa Rolfe 51.26
Nataile Williams 52.06
Claire Hooley 57.43
Lindsey Lucas 58.55
And I'll take Clares chip time to make it a 5 mile pb for me. Thus is a lovely well organised run.
I ran hatfield 5mile and achieved a new pb of 47.50 for that distance...lovely well organised event!
Sorry don’t want to add to confusion but I’m sorry I don’t understand the times worked from your spreadsheet sorry
I got these from the results website
I also ran the Hatfield 5 miler in a PB of 39.26 (net time). Really well organised race, great support from fellow team mates - who all did brilliantly well this morning.
Thanks. If those are the official times, we'll take them. Lindsay, that's an even better PB!
not wishing to do your job for you, but how about something like this for a cross country headline:
"the Price is right for Ed as he Wings it at this weekend's cross country"
I will let you fill in the rest......
a great team performance by all today at the Wing Cross Country, thanks to all the supporters and runners who helped to put us firmly in the driving seat in this year's 3CXC league.
Well done all, great fun today!
Markey Mark we need to sign you to the press team!!!
.....invoice is in the post Phil!
That looks more tidy, just missing Abbie Haskell off the list at 43.19
From the Hatfield 5m Carl?
Nessa, when we were looking at the results it didn’t give ‘time’ and ‘net time’ like it does now, and you had to manually take your ‘start time’ off the ‘finish time’ thus 33:04–00:06 (columns in the spreadsheet, but of course not formatted very well) gives 32:58. When Hatfield have (now) done the same calculation they seem to have given some of us an extra second... or the benefit of rounding error.
